+ Kopien Willer: For descendants of Henriette Sander see Family No. 2 in the Schroeder history. Henriette is said to have taken butter and eggs to market in Vincennes by foot. Indians used to lurk in the neighborhood of the Chamber school and steal horses.
On one of her trips to Vincennes, Henriette met an Indian and was much frightened, but he did not molest her.
