3. Johann "Simon" Heinrich Oberkrome (Simon2, Johan1); b. circa 1793 at Heiden, Lippe-Detmold, Germany; m. Anna Florentine Luise "Louisa" Strate, daughter of Johann Heinrich Strate and Anne Marie Florentine Elisabet Runte, 27 Apr 1823 at Heiden, Lippe-Detmold, Germany; christened 20 May 1793 at Heiden, Lippe-Detmold, Germany; d. circa Oct 1853 at Gasconade County, Missouri; bur. Oct 1853 at Meyer-Hunke farm, Gasconade, Missouri, USA. There is conjecture (but no proof) that Simon and Louise fled to Holland because of the chaotic political conditions in Germany, where Simon worked for two years as a brickmaker to earn passage to America. Simon, Louise, Mina, Frederick, Hermon and Simon (there is no record of Henry) left the port of Bremen 15 Mar 1852 on the ship Johann Schmidt and arrived in New Orleans 4 Jun 1852. They arrived in Gasconade County, Missouri sometime prior to Oct 1853. Simon is believed to have died of Cholera sometime prior to when his wife was appointed administrator on 1 Oct 1853 (no will has been found). Both Simon and Louise are thought to be buried on the Meyer-Hunke farm in unmarked graves. Louise's will was probated 11 Feb 1861; her 4 sons and Theodore Schneider each received $28.12 1/2. There is conjecture from this that Louisa was dead prior to 11 Feb 1861 or she would have been mentioned in the will (this writer does not believe that Louisa was dead, the probate was merely a case of female discrimination). Anna Florentine Luise "Louisa" Strate was born circa 1802 at Lippe-Detmold, Germany and was christened on 3 Feb 1802 at Heiden, Lippe-Detmold, Germany. She died circa Jan 1867 at Gasconade County, Missouri and was buried on the Meyer-Hunke farm, Gasconade, Missouri. The 11 children of Johann "Simon" Heinrich3 Oberkrome and Anna Florentine Luise "Louisa" Strate are:
